IET London: Savoy Place
At the IET, making our world a better place starts by creating a better place for our people.
At the IET you’ll have more than just a job. Our work is exciting and challenging, connecting the people who solve the problems that matter. It means working with us has real meaning and impact, and you’ll grow – professionally and personally – in ways you never thought possible.
We’re also making significant investments in our people, including providing a modern, vibrant workplace and embracing hybrid working.
What you'll be doing
As our AV Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for driving AV revenue across IET London: Savoy Place, selling audio visual solutions and services that help clients deliver exceptional events.
Working closely with clients, agencies, and internal teams, you'll take ownership of the AV sales process from initial enquiry through to successful event delivery. You'll spend time understanding client objectives, developing tailored AV proposals, and identifying opportunities to enhance event experiences through innovative technology and technical expertise.
This is a highly collaborative role that sits at the middle of sales, operations, and event delivery. You'll work closely with our AV, Sales, Operations, IT and IET.tv teams to ensure clients receive a seamless service and that every event is delivered to the highest possible standard.
Beyond sales, you'll play an active role in the operational delivery of services, particularly around event branding and Be-Matrix installations. From developing proposals and generating revenue opportunities through to overseeing on-site setup and derig activities, you'll ensure solutions are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with client expectations.
You'll also support the AV Department Manager in the day-to-day leadership of the AV team, helping to develop colleagues, maintain operational excellence and drive continuous improvement across the department.
What we hope you can bring to the role
We're looking for an experienced AV professional who combines strong commercial awareness with practical technical expertise. You'll have a track record of selling AV services within a live events, venue or conference environment and understand how to balance client needs with operational delivery and commercial performance.
You'll be comfortable discussing a wide range of AV solutions, including audio, video, lighting, hybrid event technology, streaming, filming and conferencing platforms. Just as importantly, you'll have the credibility and confidence to engage with clients, understand their requirements and translate them into practical, profitable event solutions.
Strong relationship-building skills will be essential. You'll be someone who thrives on collaboration, working closely with both customers and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes. You'll also be confident leading, supporting and influencing colleagues, helping to maintain high standards across both sales and delivery activities.
Most importantly, you'll bring energy, enthusiasm and a customer-first mindset, always looking for opportunities to enhance the client experience while growing AV revenue and profitability.
